Alister is originally from North London and started surfing at 6 years old with his father on the Gower peninsula in Wales. When he finished school Alister joined the Army and served in the PWRR regiment for 6 and a half years. When He left the army Alister trained as a plumber and left the UK in 2015 to work at a surf lodge in New Zealand. It was in New Zealand that Alisters passion for surfing took off. On returning from New Zealand in 2017 Alister moved to Devon and started a job with the National Trust. He qualified as a surf instructor in 2018 and has been working at our center at Croyde ever since.
